R6700 as wireless access point - NETGEAR Communities We have 2 R6700 wireless routers that we are looking to configure - one as the main router and the other as a wireless access point. How To Convert a DD-WRT Router into an Access Point
The router's Internet Settings as Static, only connect it's WAN\Internet port to the upstream network and change the router's mode from Gateway to Router. A Static Route will be required in the main router for the secondary router's LAN IP Subnet.
