Mar 09, 2015 · Tonight when I switched it back on the PS4 could not find IP address in specified time. So I tried connecting via wifi, this worked no problem. Rebooted router and mode and ps4. Went back to try ethernet, No dice would not work at all. So I switched everything off in the house that may require an IP address including the ps 4 R1 and modem.
My PS3 cannot obtain an IP address. I've been at this for like an hour and can't figure this out. My PS3 can't obtain an IP address so I can't connect to the internet. Possibly, a router address will be something like 192.168.0.1 Try connecting your ps4 to wifi again & log the ip address's it should show your routers ip, or maybe connect a smartphone to your wifi and take a look at the connection data, the router itself may have an ip address on the back or underneath Ps3 wont obtain an IP address Recently I moved my ps3 to my gf's house. And every time I try and to connect it to the WiFi I get this message: "the attempt to obtain an IP address timed out" I've tries connecting it directly to the router with am Ethernet cable which seams to work. Tab on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/Ipv4), then click on Properties. Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically. Click OK to exit the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties. Click Close to exit the Ethernet Properties. Click Close once more to exit the Ethernet Status. Oct 15, 2013 · go to your Modem and router ,have to let your modem ON ,then PRESS THE reset button on your router or hit Modem reset which you prefer mostly. I DONT know if it will work for you but surely mine
Next, I shut down my cable modem and turn it back on after about 30secbefore turning the PS3 on, as this is the only fix for the IP address from swicthing between thge pc and PS3 that has worked Help connecting ps3 to wi-fi, not obtaining IP address So I changed my router today, and its working perfectly and it works well with all my devices but it doesn't work with my ps3 and everytime I try to connect to it fails saying that it was unable to obtain the IP address if anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it a lot
